Kayla Maurice is the heart and soul behind Karm Collective, formerly known as Karm YXE. Born and raised in the Northwest Territories, Kayla moved to Saskatchewan in 2009 and quickly found a deep connection to Saskatoon, where she now calls home. She is a proud mother of two and carries a lifelong passion for beauty, healing and helping others step into their highest selves.

Driven by purpose, Kayla opened KARM just before the pandemic and has continued to grow and evolve ever since. Her journey is rooted in resilience, transformation and a commitment to creating meaningful experiences for every person who walks through her doors.

With over a decade of experience in the beauty industry, Kayla’s path reflects both dedication and continuous education. Beginning with her Hair Diploma in 2009, she has since pursued advanced training across multiple disciplines along with a Justice Degree that deepened her understanding of people, connection, and care. As both a lifelong learner and mentor, Kayla is passionate about expanding her knowledge, refining her craft and stepping into educational spaces where she can share her wisdom with others.

At KARM, named after her youngest child’s initials, Kayla has intentionally created a peaceful and uplifting environment where growth, healing and self-connection are at the forefront. Inspired by her late grandmother, the dragonfly symbolizes transformation, strength, and resilience values that are woven into everything she does.

Kayla’s warm, grounded presence and genuine care create an experience that goes far beyond the surface, leaving clients feeling seen, supported and empowered.
